The new Intersport Stähle, Bad Dürrheim
The new corporate appearance of the famous Intersport Stähle store in Bad Dürrheim/Germany is considered a real Eldorado for athletes.
The new, impressively-designed store covering two storeys and a total sales floor of 1,400 m2, opened in April 2011 after only 4 weeks of renovation.
The exceptionally generous design of the aisles is impressive, guiding customers comfortably round the different product ranges and focal points. The density of the display is regularly interrupted by decorative eye-catchers – such as colourful seating areas in the outdoor footwear department or rocks planted with vegetation near the shoe test track leading up to the top floor, symbolising the mountaineering department. On the top floor, an imposing hanging bridge with oiled planks and rope handrails catches the eye. Technical highlights are also available, e.g. the wind tunnel for testing the windproof quality of ski clothing or the three running tracks in the large gallery on which customers can realistically try out running shoes.
A merchandise display suited to the products was generated using the Visplay systems Icons flat in mid-floor, the proven Stabilo system on walls and special merchandise supports for clothing.
Architecture: Nette + Hartmann, Hamburg (Germany)
