Visplay in the new Stücki Shopping Centre in Basel, Switzerland

The new Stücki Shopping Centre in Basel opened its doors on 24 September.

Stücki has given a new lease of life to an abandoned industrial zone in Basel, Switzerland.  The new Stücki Shopping Centre has a historical link with the area. Until 1983, it was the site of Switzerland’s second largest textile refiner which delivered valuable fabric throughout the world. This so-called “Stückfärberei“ (dyeing factory) gave the area its name. The architects Diener & Diener from Basel are responsible for the impressive architectural design. Long-term management and leasing of the centre has been taken on by the shopping centre specialist ECE from Hamburg.

Stücki opened on 24 September and offers a unique shopping experience. With a total of 120 stores covering a sales area of 32,000 m2, the new Stücki Centre in the tri-border region of Switzerland – Germany – France, is a true shopper’s paradise. A visit to the Stücki Shopping Centre can be easily combined with a visit to the Visplay showroom in Weil am Rhein, Germany, which is just a few kilometres away.
